I have long tried to achieve a 'blue and white' garden in honour of Our Blessed Mother; the last garden I had was just coming to perfection (after 5 years work on it) when we moved house. The current one has not had enough work done on it yet, not enough time, not enough money, sigh! Nonetheless, here are my gleanings, after a very wet and sunless summer, gathered this morning for Our Blessed Mother's birthday. Perhaps next year I will have a little less purple, and a little more blue!

I love your statuette of Our Lady of Lourdes.
Thankyou R & J - we actually got it in Lourdes a couple of yrs ago, after trawling through billions of lopsided, badly painted statues, we eventually found a decent one! We have a nice little kneeling statuette of St Bernadette that goes with it, but I left her on the shelf while I took the photie!
It's still quite pretty!
We had beautiful love-in-a-mist in our Mary Garden this summer. Very cheap to buy seeds and then endlessly self-seeding.
J O T, I think it's still pretty 'cos that's the old garden! sigh!
Mrs Pea, I had loads of love in a mist last year, (blue and white ones too), but this year only about 3 of them came up again!!! boo hoo. I think the weather in our neck of the woods has been just too wet for anything but greenery. I'll just have to look forward to next year, I suppose!
